Behind the flames

We’re Carly and Melissa, two friends from Vernon, CT, who met as coworkers and discovered a shared interest in creating. What started as a small side project quickly turned into something we wanted to take seriously.

We hand-pour every candle in our studio, blending our own fragrances, designing our jars, and finishing each product ourselves. A lot of time goes into testing; adjusting scents, refining formulas, and making sure everything performs the way it should.

Our fragrances are inspired by nature, with an emphasis on depth and balance. We’re drawn to scents that feel a little unexpected and worth noticing.

We use a coconut-soy wax blend for our candles and 100% soy wax for our melts. Everything is dye-free and made in small batches so we can focus on quality and consistency. From wick size to placement, every detail is tested to ensure a clean, even burn.

Most days in the studio include music, something caffeinated, and a lot of trial and error, but that’s part of the process. We make everything by hand and take the time to get it right.

Laurel Lights LLC was created in 2025 and built on a simple idea: make candles that look good, burn clean, and actually live up to expectations.
